Effective Weight Loss Options

Wegovy for Weight Control

Wegovy (Semaglutide) Injections decrease your appetite and cravings and help you reach your weight loss goals!  Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist. GLP-1 works to increase insulin levels by activating cells in the pancreas. It also triggers hormone release to delay the emptying of the stomach and curbs appetite.

Zepbound for Metabolic Wellness

Zepbound (tirzepatide) is a prescription, once‑weekly injectable medication indicated for chronic weight management and metabolic control. Clinically shown to reduce appetite and promote significant, sustained weight loss, Zepbound works as a dual glucose‑dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon‑like peptide‑1 (GLP‑1) receptor agonist to support appetite suppression and improved glycemic outcomes.

Manage Weight with Contrave

CONTRAVE is the only FDA-approved oral weight-loss medication combining extended-release naltrexone and bupropion. CONTRAVE is a convenient weight-loss pill, not an injection. CONTRAVE reduces hunger and cravings and is not a stimulant.

Balance Blood Sugar & Weight

Metformin curbs glucose overproduction in the liver, helping to prevent blood sugar spikes and dips that can cause energy crashes, cravings, and stubborn weight loss. Metformin helps promotes fat metabolism, lowers inflammation, and helps curb appetite. It is the most cost effective medication to regulate blood glucose and a great starting medication for weight loss and gut health.

Comprehensive Wellness Panel

Your wellness bloodwork panel includes routine screening tests and detailed explanation of the results to help you avoid potential health issues. These tests assess general health and detect potential issues early. You will be sent a lab order for Quest labs and a detailed report once results are completed.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC): Measures red and white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets to detect infections, anemia, or blood disorders.
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): Checks electrolytes, glucose, Liver and kidney function for metabolic and organ health.
  • Lipid Panel: Assesses cholesterol levels, including LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), and triglycerides.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Evaluates thyroid function, identifying hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
  • HbA1c (Hemoglobin A1c): Provides a three-month average of blood sugar levels, screening for diabetes or prediabetes.
  • Prostate-Specific Antigen (MALE): Measures the level of PSA, a protein produced by the prostate gland, used as a screening test for prostate health.
  • Total Testosterone (MALE): Measures the levels of total testosterone (both bound and unbound), which are important for muscle mass, bone density, and libido.

Understanding Your Blood Tests

Includes:

  • CBC: Is a group of blood tests that measure the number and size of the different cells in your blood. A CBC measures: Red blood cells, which carry oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body. White blood cells, which fight infections and other diseases.

Includes:

  • Kidney Function: This is an evaluation of how your kidneys are functioning. The kidneys’ job is to filter the blood. Medications that are filtered by the kidney can accumulate in the blood if kidney function is not normal. A blood urea nitrogen (BUN) test measures the amount of urea nitrogen in your blood and is an indicator of the kidney’s ability to function as a filter. Creatinine is a compound produced by the muscles in your body and, like urea nitrogen, is filtered out of the blood by the kidneys. Measuring both of these levels can give your provider an idea of how your kidneys are functioning.
  • Liver tests: Show substances made by the liver. Abnormal results can indicate liver inflammation, fatty liver, or damage to the heart, bones, or muscles. It can also be from medications, liver injury due to substance like alcohol consumption or hepatitis.

Includes:

  • Lipid Panel: Helps to determine risk factors for cardiovascular disease and stroke. High LDL cholesterol or “low density lipoproteins” sometimes called “bad cholesterol” can indicate greater cardiovascular risk. Low HDL cholesterol or “high density lipoproteins” sometimes called “good cholesterol” can be similarly concerning for higher cardiovascular risk. High values of cholesterol and triglycerides, similarly, have been shown to be associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Includes:

  • Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH): Your thyroid is an important gland that helps regulate metabolism. A high or low level could indicate metabolic dysfunction.

Includes:

  • Hemoglobin A1c: A1c is a measure of the long-term (3 month) history of your body’s ability to manage blood glucose. Elevated A1c can indicate problems regulating blood sugar levels, which is important for good health. An A1c 5.7-6.4 is an indication of Pre-diabetes which can lead to type 2 diabetes if left untreated. A1c higher than 6.5 is considered Type-2 diabetes.

Includes:

  • PSA: Protein produced by the prostate gland that can be measured in a blood test to screen for prostate cancer.  An elevated PSA level may indicate the presence of enlarged prostate which is normal with age or prostate cancer. Though other factors can also cause elevated levels including prostate infections.
